The 14th annual Buffalo Gap Wine & Food Summit celebrated the cuisine and culture in Latin America with the best chefs from Texas’ Tim Byres from Smoke to John Cox from The Bear and The Star in Los Olivos California and many others paired with wines from California, Texas and guests winemakers of Casa Madero from the Sierra Madre mountain region in Mexico. The event was in heralded in with a full mariachi band and traditional Mojigangas. The overall design derived from Tom and Lisa’s trip to Portugal and Mexico where they studied not only the wine and food there but also the intricate and colorful tiles that are used in both countries in architecture. Bridging both tiles and colorful flags together with icons of Buffalo Gap in a simplistic and festive way, the poster tile concept was then applied to t-shirts and the event program.
