Built in 1959 Tex Randall was called “Texas’ Biggest Texan.” Tex is a towering 47-foot-tall, cowboy built of cement and steel by William Wheeler for Wheeler’s Western Store on US 60. Tex was outfitted with a bandana, a real Western-style shirt, and an enormous pair of Levi’s jeans. Over they years, Tex took a beating from the harsh elements of wind, dust and the brutal Texas heat but thanks to a fundraising campaign, Tex Randall was fully restored in 2016.
